Vive meglio chi spera nel futuro?

Nella scorsa primavera, prima che l’Italia venisse chiusa per coronavirus,  non esisteva negozio di biciclette che non fosse facilmente raggiungibile con una telefonata. Gli affari potevano andare bene o male, a seconda dei casi,  della regione o della città, del tipo di biciclette vendute.

Il biciclettaio, come tanti, è stato costretto a chiudere il suo negozio.

Alla riapertura, dopo un mese e mezzo a riflettere su una crisi che poteva trascinarlo alla chiusura definitiva, il miracolo. Complice una serie di effetti collaterali difficili da prevedere, l’annuncio dell’ecobonus per chi acquista una bicicletta o un monopattino.

Il titolare di un negozio di biciclette si è trovato con la fila alla porta ed il telefono sempre occupato. Assediato dai clienti alla ricerca di una bicicletta nuova o dai tantissimi italiani che dovevano rimettere in marcia la loro.

Negare gli effetti di  una crisi sotto gli occhi di tutti significherebbe prenderci in giro.  Ma andarle incontro a capo chino, nell’attesa che tristi destini si compiano,  sarebbe non meno miope.

Può succedere a noi quello che è successo al biciclettaio , e cioè di trovare dentro la crisi la strada migliore per uscirne più forti. Non si tratta di un generico invito all’ ottimismo.  Semplicemente: è già successo e succederà ancora.  Basta predisporsi con l’animo giusto. Tenendo lontani da noi gli oscuri presagi di quelli che ripetono di continuo frasi tipo “vedrete, esploderanno le tensioni sociali”. Perché frasi come questa possono diventare profezie autoavveranti.

Fateci caso: l’ottimismo, nella storia, ha prodotto molti meno danni del suo contrario.
