Ai professori e ai formatori

Ho finito di leggere l’autobiografia di Margherita Hack, ho trovato queste sue riflessioni che mi sembrano interessanti per tutti gli insegnanti e formatori…

I miei professori non furono quasi mai dei maestri di vita. Erano solo persone che facevano – chi meglio chi peggio – il proprio lavoro (…). Posso capire che non tutti sono portati per l’insegnamento, perché oltre alla conoscenza della materia richiede anche una certa dose di capacità relazionali, di linearità espositiva e – perché no – di presenza scenica. Non è un mestiere per tutti (..). Saper spiegare con efficacia a se stessi e agli altri le cause e gli effetti di un fenomeno è una gran cosa. È un sintomo di una mente funzionante e ricettiva. Ben disposta a capire quello che gli era sfuggito in un primo momento. E c’è un ulteriore passaggio da non sottovalutare. Se io voglio prendere un concetto molto complesso e ridurlo ai minimi termini in modo da poterlo illustrare senza troppi paroloni al primo che incontro per strada, è indispensabile prima di tutto che io abbia capito in pieno quel concetto iniziale, che lo abbia fatto mio (…). Senza contare che divulgare ha una profonda valenza democratica, poiché prima di tutto vuol dire condividere.
